Industrial Hygiene Services
TMC’s industrial hygiene services are led by a senior-level technical staff that includes Certified Industrial Hygienists (CIH) and Certified Safety Professionals (CSP) who employ ABIH/ACGIH approved guidelines, NIOSH/OSHA standards and methodologies to help clients identify their associated risks and develop appropriate approach through sampling, engineering, personal protection and training. Annual Monitoring Programs
TMC technical team can develop a facility’s sampling plan and schedule annual or bi-annual exposure assessments, and OSHA-required monitoring. Through this effort, TMC develops standardize sampling, field observations and report formatting for consistency in interpreting sample results and report development.
Indoor Air Quality
TMC’s team of certified industrial hygienists provides comprehensive Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) services, from initial screening, air sampling/testing, problem building resolutions, and investigations. Through these technical services, TMC will also assist to develop baseline building air quality assessments.

Hearing Conservation and Noise Monitoring
TMC provides a wide range of noise monitoring and hearing conservation services that includes sound level measurements and hearing conservation program development. TMC professionals are available to conduct personal noise dosimetry and sound level surveys to determine if employee exposures to noise exceed the OSHA Action Level or permissible exposure levels (PELs) or exposure limits that require the enrollment in a Hearing Conservation Program (HCP), use of hearing protection devices (HPDs) and/or the implementation of engineering and administrative controls to minimize employee exposure to noise in the workplace.
TMC is available to assist with the proper selection and design of hearing protection devices and engineering and administrative controls along with the development of required employee training and annual monitoring.
TMC provides technical resources for ventilation surveys, laboratory hood flow measurements, assessment of ventilation systems and assistance in design and specifications.
Beryllium Exposure Assessment and Engineering Control
TMC provides experienced professionals to assist in the development and execution of exposure monitoring for beryllium. TMC possess professional experience in this specialized area that serves as the basis to recommend engineering controls and compliance plans to meet the new OSHA proposed Beryllium standard.
Sampling strategies and statistical analysis of industrial hygiene data
TMC is able to provide statistical analysis of current and historical industrial hygiene monitoring data. The Bayesian statistical framework offers opportunities for improving the accuracy, efficiency, and transparency of exposure judgments. Bayesian techniques can be used to formally combine professional judgment regarding a particular exposure and its uncertainty along with the statistical analysis of current exposure data. The language and framework of the approach holds promise for expressing the output of exposure assessments in a manner that is much more easily understood and communicated than the output from more traditional statistical analysis. The Bayesian decision analysis approach formalizes traditional exposure assessment processes already used by industrial hygienists.
Regulatory Compliance Monitoring
TMC provides the technical resources including a team of Certified Industrial Hygienists who are available to conduct monitoring, provide technical resources, report preparation and documentation along with offering of technical consultation during OSHA compliance inspections.
